April 30 Try Something different than Google SearchRIA technologies have already started leaving impact on the WebScape. Well If you are bored googling than following links are some fun for a while. Interesting thing is to note use of Web 2.0 technologies. April 17 Applied Architecture and DesignThere are several definitions of architecture that can be found on Internet and in books (Wikipedia Def & SEI def). Defining software architecture requires several technical, non-technical skills, Software Engineering concepts and excellent awareness of contemporary software development tools (including libraries, frameworks, platforms etc.). Bodies like IASA, WWISA and SEI provide a lot of information to understand role of an architect. In this mini post I am posting an applied conceptual architectural skill set chart that can be helpful for a contemporary (aspiring) architect A single word in this figure may explode to thousands of concepts and details. As an example SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) can be confusing for a beginner as a lot of confusing material can be found on the Internet. Some people are of the view that it is a lost metaphor as every other person has a different perception about it. I was of the same view for some time until I found an opportunity to read Thomas Erl's book(s). Another important aspect is depth and applied understanding of concepts. Remember there is no single magic book that can create a perfect Architect. Following skill table is not complete, it shows some critical aspects. Hi-Res Image
March 20 My View of WEB 2Technorati Tags: Web 2.0,AJAX,Web Services,Web Tops,Mashups,OAI - MPH,REST,Silver Light,RIAs,Social Bookmarks,Social Networking,Blogs,Wiki I talked to one of my friends about My Dependency Injection Memory Set post. He convinced me to do something easy this time that can be suitable for larger audience like "Web 2.0". I was doing my I/O part (It is nearly complete too) but this one was my first choice now. Web 2.0 is bubble or evolution! I can't predict but I know one thing for sure webscape is continuously changing since inception. It is changing our approach towards web, web economy, technologies (Ajax, Web Services, OAI-MPH, REST and others) and the way we think about future. Transition towards Semantic web is happening and we are moving towards a totally new web with new challenges. In my memory set I target average computer user and fresh developers to see the change. Number of people have already talked about how they look at it? I try to show what people think and what is happening on the web? It is about feeling web 2. I discuss technologies associated with web 2.0, trends and it's applications. I will be soon presenting it at different places. February 13 Old IO and Serialization Memory SetsAfter DI post and activity, I need some change of flavor for a while before I can start with Part 2 of DI notes. After release of .net framework 3.5 I will like to re-visit my old notes before publishing them to this blog. We have some new things in IO and Serialization. ! Bye
